At 23, I was living the dream, a packed schedule, my own salon, and the belief that my worth was measured by how busy I stayed. Like most stylists, I wore my burnout like a badge of honor, mistaking hustle for success.Â
Then life happened: becoming a mom showed me the cost of saying yes to everyone else but myself, and COVID hit when I was 7 months pregnant, wiping out my income for 9 weeks. That moment opened my eyes a truth I couldn't unsee – our entire industry was built on a broken foundation that demanded our sacrifice in exchange for success.Â
I knew there had to be a better way and I’m guessing you’re feeling that call, too.
I know you're ready to let go of:
The constant hustle that drains your energy and leaves you feeling exhausted and totally burned out.
Self-doubt and fear of losing clients every time you set boundaries or raise your prices.
Old business models that no longer align with your energy, values, or lifestyle goals.
AND I get it, you're so ready for:
A business that supports your life, and is able to change as you change.
A sustainable business that gives you the income you deserve while honoring your boundaries.
More time, freedom, and energy to do what truly lights you up.
You're in the right place!
I went from burned out af to 3 day work weeks and financial freedom... and it wasn't by accident.
I didn't get into this industry to grind myself into the ground. I got into it because I genuinely loved it. The relationships. The transformations. The way a client walks in carrying something heavy and leaves feeling like herself again. That part never got old.
What got old was everything built around it.
I opened my own salon at 23. No idea what I was doing. No business degree. Just a goal I'd said out loud the first day of beauty school.
I worked 7 days a week. Said yes to every client, every event, every opportunity to get my name out there.
And it worked. Faster than I expected, honestly.
I've spent over a decade behind the chair and running a salon. Built a team of stylists who were are all fully booked, loyal, and genuinely good at what they do. From the outside, everything looked exactly right.
And then Covid shut my salon down for nine weeks. I was seven months pregnant with my second son.
And I sat with the reality that everything I'd spent over a decade building, stopped the second I wasn't physically present.
No backup. No cushion. No plan B.
I loved what I did too much to walk away. So I stopped pretending the foundation was solid.
That's when I redesigned everything.
I got clear on exactly which clients I actually wanted, and let everyone else go. I reverse-engineered my income from the life I wanted, not the schedule I'd been surviving. And I cut my schedule down to three days behind the chair.
It wasn't comfortable. But it worked.
That redesign is what I teach now through The Hairpreneur.
I lived the version of this that breaks you, I found the way out, and I think you deserve to know it exists.
Success isn't about how much you can take on. It's about building something you actually want to show up for.
